Dr. Kiran Patel was born in Zambia, educated under the British Educational System in Zambia and then got his diplomas from Cambridge University and The University of London. Dr. Patel did his residency in Internal Medicine in New Jersey in 1980 after his MBBS from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad and Internship in Africa. He completed a fellowship in the cardiology program affiliated with the Columbia University of New York in 1982. Dr. Kiran was very successful and distinguished cardiologist in Tampa, Florida. He developed a physician practice management company and expanded throughout the Tampa Bay area, diverging into 14 practices including Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and Cardiology. Between 1995 and 2002, Dr. Kiran Patel built it into a billion-dollar company. Between 2007 and 2017, took a shot at turning around another managed care company America’s 1st Choice, which operates Medicare Advantage plans under the Freedom Health and Optimum brands. The Drs. Kiran and Pallavi Patel Family Foundation focuses on bettering the world through health, education, and culture. He is a Chief Patron of 50 bed Community health Centre, International standard School and Sports Academy managed under Shaktikrupa Charitable Trust for serving to Mankind at his native place Mota Fofalia, Vadodara.
